Interesting story here about the Iraqi defector who lied about the WMDs in Iraq that was the basis for our invasion. He is not sorry that he lied.
UPDATE: With the news today that “curveball” lied to Americans about Iraq’s WMDs, Gen Colin Powel is a little PO’ed. He has every reason to be and he wants answers from the CIA. Colin Powel put his reputation on the line when he ‘testified’ in front of the UN, using information from Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi (Curveball) to request the go-ahead for the US’s planned invasion.
One more thing. Both links that I have provided today for this story mentions the 100,000 Iraqi civilians that may have been killed during the 8-year long war. Why don’t they mention the hundreds of thousands of Kurds killed by Hussein and his sons? Just askin’.
